Fondazione L'Albero della Vita Project Manager Jobs in Kenya; We are looking for a Project Manager who will be in charge of coordinating our Project based in Nairobi, Kenya starting from September 2025.
The WINGS project is the result of FADV's many years of experience in collaborating with the government, local actors and the private sector in Kenya to support vulnerable groups. The goal is to create, in 5 counties, solid technical, social and emotional skills and employment and remuneration opportunities for the most vulnerable sections of the population in the field of domestic work, business support services and ethical and sustainable fashion, cooperating with institutions, professional-university training centers and the Italian and Kenyan business world.
The main place of work will be Nairobi; regular visits to the Project headquarters in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Uasin Gishuand and missions in the country are planned compatibly with security conditions.
Main responsibilities:Project coordination and management Coordination, in agreement with the Country Representative, of the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project activities, in collaboration with the headquarters in Italy.
Coordination of the activities planned within the project ensuring a results-oriented approach to management (RBM).
Accompaniment and technical support to the local team, including Partners, for a correct management of the project cycle.
Setting up a monitoring and data collection plan in collaboration with the M&E contact person.
Periodic drafting of technical reports on the progress of the project and administrative management according to the tools in use at the NGO and the donor's requests.
Monthly monitoring of expenditure progress and compliance with the approved budget in collaboration with the project administration.
Maintaining institutional relations with national authorities and other actors directly or indirectly involved with the project.
Human resources management
Supervision of the training and management of the local staff involved in the Project activities, in collaboration with the Head of Mission.
Training and updating of local staff through special training courses on the principles and methodology of FADV.
Periodic evaluation of the performance of the project staff
New designs
Monitoring
of outbound calls for Kenya. Development, in coordination with the FADV Programs Department, of new project initiatives;
Coordination of new project feasibility in agreement with the FADV headquarters;
Development of relationships with potential donors, writing and presentation of new proposals in collaboration with the FADV Programs Department;
Control of project proposals submitted or under negotiation with the various donors.
Coordination with stakeholders
Promotion and organization of meetings with funders, institutions, NGOs, local government and local agencies in collaboration with the Head of Mission.
Security management
Ensure compliance with the FADV Safety Plan and other safety rules and regulations, in close collaboration with the safety contact person.
Implementation of Child Safeguarding/PSEA policies
Ensure the implementation of Safeguard measures within its area of responsibility;
Requirements:
Master's degree or equivalent and preferably a Master's degree in Project Management;
At least 5 years' experience in the implementation of international cooperation projects with a focus on job placement and skills development.
Solid experience in the coordination of projects funded by AICS
Knowledge of the management tools for planning and monitoring international cooperation projects
Good organizational skills and ability to manage one's own timing and responsibilities.
Availability to make trips to the project territories;
Ability to work under pressure and manage schedules and meet deadlines.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
Language skills: native Italian, excellent knowledge of English (oral and written)
