Our client, an international company providing car rental and leasing is looking to recruit for a Fleet / Operations Coordinator.
Role Summary: Supervise drivers and vehicle operations, coordinate outsourced drivers coordinate fueling of vehicles, rescue vehicles and comply with all relevant Standard Operation Procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements Diploma in fleet or transport management / certificate in human resources
Class BCE driving License
Minimum driving experience of 5 years
Holder of 3 years PSV License
MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Specification
The Operations Coordinator (OC) is responsible for supervising drivers as well as performing all driver functions as required.
Ensure timely fueling of vehicles and submission of fueling receipts, statements and reports from suppliers to the Assistant Operations Manager.
Ensure that drivers Rota is prepared prior to beginning of the month, allocation of drivers done on time and anticipate any driver shortfalls and ensure each shift is fully manned on time.
Complete and maintain up-to-date driver’s attendance register.
Train new drivers as per Driver Training Program
Assist with vehicle rescues, provide incident reports and assist with vehicle accidents as required.
Check that drivers maintain their allocated vehicles and that they are cleaned and well presented to ensure an excellent client experience.
Ensure drivers are correctly dressed for duty.
Ensure that both the vehicles and drivers are compliant with all relevant laws for driving and vehicle road worthiness.
Ensuring that
vehicles that are received from repair workshops are inspected and tested to confirm they are road worthy and the repairs are complete.
Provide a Weekly Fleet Report that includes details of the status of all unavailable vehicles, locations of vehicles, utilization of drivers and vehicles and fuel issues.
Ensure bookings for servicing of vehicles are coordinated, including informing clients of the same.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Immediate supervisor
Competencies
Extensive knowledge and experience of vehicle operations.
Proven experience and ability to manage a people.
Well-developed report and writing skills
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in line with our core values
People Management – Ability to coach, mentor and drive through success
Ability to work in a flexible fast-paced, high volume environment
