Job Description

Safety Manager must be registered with SACPCMP as a Construction Health and Safety Manager for at least 5 years.

ONLY open for current registered SACPCMP Safety Managers

Must reside in Cape Town OR West Coast area

Duties:

Compilation & Management of an HSE Management System

Implementation of the HSE Management System with 3 Safety Officers

Manage Audits and Inspections including all scope of works on site

Compilation of Audit and Inspection Reports

Develop, maintain, and protect Health and Safety Standards within the Organization in accordance with current Health & Safety Legislation

Keep up to date and assuring daily compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation

Support Managers to maintain HSE systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support

Assist Managers implement HSE systems and procedures to meet specific legal and Company requirements

Our Client is a Contractor working on a new power station that will supply power to Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in the event of a 132kV loss to safety related power critical plants needed when it is necessary to shut Koeberg Nuclear Power Station down safely or recover to production status.

This position will be for a period of 2 years
