Job Vacancy: Financial Manager – Property, Repair and Maintenance

Our Client is a fast expanding organization with revenues that are growing by 25% annually. They currently employ approximately 2000 staff and they anticipate this number to increase by 25% annually over the next 3 to 5 years.
Its employees are integral to the success of the business and are highly valued. The company operates regionally in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda with plans to continue their expansion in the region.
Position Summary:
The Financial Manager – Property, Repair and Maintenance (PRM) will be responsible for completing PRM financial management and reporting, cost budgeting and allocation. Contributing financial assessment to the property department on the funding model (feasibility studies) and managing the project financial administrative functions.
The position will be based in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities:
Review feasibility studies done by the property department
Proactive assessment of projects feasibility financial ratios and key performance ratios and make recommendations
Prepare and manage Projects Capex budgets
Manage project transactions and reconciliations
Authorizations of project requisitions
Manage project funds and payments
Manage project asset tagging after store build
Capitalization of the project cost
Manage the fixed asset register for branches
Participate in the costing process
Review and sign off the Po’s and supplier invoices
Manage R&M budgets
Manage R&M cost allocations against budget
Manage R&M
department monthly financials
Accurate assessment of key performance ratios of the projects feasibility studies
Accurate allocations of project transactions
Maintaining of the fixed asset register
Monitoring of R&M expense allocations
Job Specifications:
Interpret feasibility models and make recommendations
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of project costing and financial management
Provide workable solutions to financial issues
Ability to work and interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Ability to travel to the various retail properties within the East Africa region
Qualifications and Required Experience
Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K)
Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in Accounting /Commerce /Finance
Five years’ experience in financial reporting
Experience in a property environment at a senior level position will be an added advantage
