Our client, a PR, Branding and Communication agency whose mission is to help brands and organizations to identify, connect and engage with customers and stakeholders to drive business results seeks to recruit a Finance Manager.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare all the books of accounts for the organization in respect to revenue and expenditures in a timely, accurate and clear manner
Prepare and present management financial reports to the Board of Directors within established timeframes
Lead and compile the company annual revenue and expenditure budget, capital expenditure budget and perform monitoring and variance analysis
Analyze and forecast critical financial performance indicators such as cash flow, cost controls and actual figures against budgets / targets. Convey these analyses to the Board and recommend on corrective actions where needed
Advise the company top management on financial matters – rules, reporting frameworks, trends and new developments
Prepare and manage the company payroll, ensure compliance to taxation and statutory regulations
Review and ensure that company has implemented adequate insurance policies for the company assets and operations
Manage effectively that company banking facilities to ensure availability of cash resources for funding business activities
Ensure compliance of the company to financial and regulatory requirement and ensure the timely payment of all taxes, levies and statutory fees
Prepare company annual financial statements for audit, manage the audit process and secure management approval of the reports
Supervise accounting staff in the department and undertake staff performance appraisal.
Champion the development of the company strategic plans, participate in the implementation and undertake monitoring and evaluation of the same
Effectively manage the procurement system for the company ensuring value for money or all purchases, quality of products and relevance to the business.
Maintain an effective credit policy
for customers and ensure adherence of the same
Establish, operate and maintain an effective and efficient supply chain system for company consumables and services
Design and implement systems and controls for monitoring and managing financial processes and procedures
Advise, operate and maintain an effective financial IT operating systems, enhancing financial information security and data backup.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Certified public accountant (CPA, K) or ACCA qualification
Finance & Accounting experience working in a PR Firm/ Communication Agency will be an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years of finance and accounting experience, including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis (including gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to management and external stakeholders).
Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience leading finance teams and cross-function collaborations.
Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting.
