FHI 360 NGO Temporary Online Coordinator/Counsellor Jobs in Kenya

FHI 360 is an international development NGO and has been awarded the Linkages across the Continuum of HIV Services for Key Populations Affected by HIV (LINKAGES) project by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The project goal is to accelerate the ability of governments and organizations working with key populations at risk of HIV to plan and implement services that reduce HIV transmission among key populations and their sexual partners and extend the lives of those already living with HIV.

Key populations experience a disproportionately high HIV risk compared to the general population and include sex workers, men who have sex with men, transgender people, and people who inject drugs.

Online and virtual platforms hold promise for HIV programs to reach out to unreached and more diverse populations, as well as offer new ways for these populations to engage with HIV services, including self-guided HIV risk screening and referrals.

Virtual communications allow for HIV programs to circumvent traditional barriers to health access including time and distance and increasingly levels of precision micro targeting high risk KP through virtual platforms.

LINKAGES Kenya is looking to hire a coordinator /counselor who can lead this part of the project for reaching the unreached and help in bridging the gaps in the current program.

Overall function:

The project coordinator cum counsellor will provide oversight in implementation of all aspects of the online initiative including overseeing outreach workers and campaign materials.

The coordinator will also provide counselling services as necessary.
