Position DescriptionThe M&E Lead works closely with the Program Management Team, which may include (but may not be limited to), the Team Lead, Deputy Team Lead, and the Senior Operations Manager (including Finance)
The Management Team is responsible for developing and managing the workplan; developing the interventions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the regions/districts; managing and ensuring technical delivery; managing and ensuring appropriate monitoring and reporting and feedback loops into the program; responsible for managing relationships in the different districts and or school communities; ensuring appropriate communications and knowledge management both internally within the project and with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The M&E Lead is responsible for the program’s M&E strategy and management and will provide technical leadership and oversight of ME&L activities to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
S/he will ensure that ME&L activities are aligned with MOE Evaluation Policy, and that periodic reports (oral and written) are made to MOE.
S/he will advise on the design of research activities relevant to EOF.
S/he will oversee the program’s quality assurance and the capacity building interactions of EOF with all partners.
Qualifications
Bachelors, master’s degree preferred, in Statistics, Economics, public policy, international development, or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of experience with progressive responsibilities.
Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, research, management information systems, reporting, data quality, assessments, data analysis and presentation,
Experience monitoring and evaluating education and/or development projects.
Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated technical writing skills for publication.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with host-country
counterparts in both the government, university, and NGO sectors is desirable.
Experience working in West Africa is highly desired.
Proven supervisory experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
