To date, Fenix has sold over 500,000 Solar Home Systems in Uganda, Zambia, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria and Mozambique, bringing clean, reliable power for lights, phones, radios, TV and much more to over 2,500,000 people.

Responsibilities

  • Test and validate all new Fenix hardware products, document and report results
  • Investigate and document the root cause of any discovered product failures to assist design and manufacturing teams with quick iteration
  • Characterize user experience through rigorous simulated customer testing
  • Assist QA and field teams with issue diagnosis, recreation, and resolution plans
  • Analyze test data and regularly report results to inform wider engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Work with firmware engineers to test and validate new firmware features and performance improvements

    Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with consumer electronics, hardware testing, or related
  • Excellent planning and execution of hardware and firmware test procedures
  • Experience working with electronics lab equipment (power supply, electronic load, digital multimeter, oscilloscope)
  • Data analytics and reporting (SQL, Excel, Tableau)
  • Rigorous problem solving and scientific test methodology
  • BS or greater in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing, or related technical field
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
  • PCB testing, fault investigation
  • Solar and Li-Ion battery electronics experience
  • Firmware or script programming experience (C++, Python, Javascript, or other)
  • Automated testing design and implementation
