The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Goals: Drive business goals for the cloud sector, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Revenue Growth: Accelerate revenue growth and identify new opportunities for cloud solutions.

  • Sales Leadership: Lead sales activities from concept to deal closure, collaborating with implementation teams to deploy large-scale cloud solutions.

  • Achieve Targets: Drive sales, meet yearly goals, and manage RFP responses for clients.

  • Solution Crafting: Develop solutions tailored to client needs, balancing technology, cost, and risk.

  • Technical Scoping: Lead cloud solution scoping to generate technical solutions, estimates, and approaches.

  • Client Engagement: Create compelling client propositions, write proposals, and manage contract negotiations.

  • Technical Presentations: Present technical topics to senior audiences, including C-Level executives.

  • Discovery and Analysis: Conduct technical discovery to identify pain points, and requirements, and define current and future states.

  • Solution Comparison: Compare solution alternatives based on technical and business parameters.

  • Stay Informed: Keep updated on emerging technologies, methodologies, and market offerings.

  • Adapt Methods: Develop alternative solutions for complex problems using existing methods and procedures.

  • Team Management:
    Lead small teams of pre-sales solution architects and coordinate with onshore and offshore teams.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with strategic partners like AWS and Microsoft on both strategic and tactical levels.

  • Minimum of 7 years in technology sales, with 3-5 years in cloud solutions sales and business development.

    Qualifications

    Experience

  • Track record of achieving targets in a Cloud/SaaS/Software organization.

  • Strong knowledge of public cloud solutions, particularly AWS and MS Azure.

  • Experience working with executive-level decision-makers and driving business targets.

  • Familiarity cloud industry and experience implementation in Africa with AWS & MS Azure clients and partners.

  • Expertise in architecting large-scale cloud solutions and conducting technical and business analyses.

  • Proven ability to build and lead teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics to senior audiences.

  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
