Farmerline started its operations serving 800 farmers in the Ashanti Region of Ghana with information via mobile information services. Over the past 8 years, Farmerline and its partnership network has profiled and served over 1million farmers and digitized over 1,000,000 acres of farmland across 16 countries in Africa.

Role Overview
As a Communications and PR Associate, you will work closely with your line manager on the development and execution of Farmerline’s communications, marketing and PR strategy.
You will be tasked with effectively promoting the business and mission of Farmerline both internally and externally; helping to manage the company’s brand through media planning, content development, communications tools, brand positioning, reputation management and handling media enquiries and by extension, social media engagement. This involves working synergistically with the Digital, Creative and BTL teams to execute the company’s marketing initiatives.
You will also work closely with other units including Farmer Services, Impact & Learning and Corporate Services to develop and execute marketing strategies with the aim of reaching the company’s quarterly and annual goals.

Help drive the growth
of the Farmer Services (B2C & B2B2C) business
Work closely with your line manager in the creation, implementation and monitoring of all communication and marketing campaigns across the company
Track and manage campaign engagement to increase awareness and loyalty
Prepare detailed reports of campaign results to show impact on company’s growth
Track actualisation of campaign goals and note any learnings for further improvement
Work closely with the Impact & Learning unit to develop stories and case studies around client projects for company newsletter and website
Produce content to be used to drive growth of the company’s business
Track new business and audience engagement (i.e. n% increase in total engagement)
Track client feedback (i.e. n% increase in feedback)
Track impact of content created on success of project (i.e qualitative/quantitative report)
Support the Digital Content Manager with digital and social media engagement, including but not limited to newsletter build and distribution, and overseeing comments and queries from the online community
Maintain and update newsletter mailing list
Manage all internal communications, including but not limited to communicating company announcements to employees, and working closely with HR to distribute notices
Track employee awareness and feedback
Understand and report to your line manager on any needs, fears, expectations and preferences from staff
Support company participation in all external activities and events
Monitoring the preparation and promotion of external marketing activities.
Monitor and report on the Farmerline brand’s benefits of event participation.
From time to time, prepare proposals and presentations to support marketing and sales funnels.
Any additional support required by your line manager.
Required Qualifications
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Marketing or Communications.
Ability to multi-task and independently organize work and prioritize tasks.
Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to handle a high volume of work.
Self-starter who takes initiative, a problem-solver, and an excellent communicator.
Proven experience in the use of mobile technology.
