Job Description

Farm to Feed is looking for a candidate who is excited to be responsible for the supply chain management, driven by a customer-centric mindset. The goal is to manage and ensure operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

This multitasker will manage and oversee the ordering cycle and manage the Operations Team. The candidate will oversee the activities from logistics to warehousing, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. The candidate’s objective is ultimately to achieve the fulfillment of customer orders.

To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that is as efficient as possible to maximize profits. Objectives of this role:

  • Ensure the logistics and warehouse operate at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal.

  • Supervise, direct, and train the warehouse team and establishing, monitoring, and managing goals.

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services

  • Liaising and coordinating with sourcing team to optimize full order cycle.

  • Co-develop and implement supply chain systems and SOPs: work flows, determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and logistics.

  • Train ops team to solve day-to-day operational
    issues to reach short- and long-term performance goals.

  • Comply with HACCP and maintain a hygienic, safe, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with regulations.

    Requirements and skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager and/or Warehouse Manager

  • Experience working with fresh produce and an understanding of agronomy

  • Track record of successful distribution and logistics management

  • Track record and ability to lead and manage a team.

  • Proficient in standard logistics software and excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an eye for detail.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

  • Background in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain

  • Working at best with minimal support and guidance

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Available to work extended hours
