Farm Africa Technical Manager - Agriculture Jobs in Kenya


Introduction

Farm Africa’s mission is to reduce poverty permanently by unleashing African farmers’ abilities to grow their incomes and manage their natural resources sustainably

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate a central knowledge base and tools development across key identified target
    crops
  • Develop Farm Africa’s Agriculture thematic area and embed technical excellence within
    Farm Africa’s agriculture projects delivery
  • Building partnerships with the private sector and other not-for-profit actors in the
    agriculture sector

    Qualifications

  • Post graduate qualification in agriculture or
    related field
  • Detailed and in depth knowledge of global best
    practice and cutting edge development thinking
    in agriculture as applies in more than one
    country of Farm Africa operation, particularly
    East Africa and drylands contexts
  • Experience in a commercial organisation in an
    agricultural capacity preferably in Africa
  • Proven achievements implementing successful
    value chain approaches to agriculture in Africa

    Farm Africa Technical Manager for Livestock Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical and operational delivery of Livestock
    for Livelihood Project
  • Over time develop Farm Africa’s Livestock thematic area and embed technical
    excellence within Farm Africa’s market intervention delivery
  • Over time building partnerships with the private sector and other not-for-profit
    actors in the Livestock sector

    Qualifications

  • Post graduate qualification in Livestock or related field
  • Detailed and in depth knowledge of global best
    practice and cutting –edge development thinking in
    Livestock as applies in more than one country of
    Farm Africa operation, particularly East Africa and drylands contexts
  • Log-frame analysis experience. Setting outcomes and objectives.
