Responsibilities
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas
Actively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetings
Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Report necessary maintenance items
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proficient in English (verbal & written) essential
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hotel Housekeeping environment
Proven training skills
Experience with Hotel Property Management System, Micros-Fidelio desirable
Proactive with a meticulous eye for detail
Strong organizational, supervisory and communication skills
Able to convey information and ideas clearly
Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and Guest
Must be able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work well with limited supervision

Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Receiving Officer Jobs
Responsibilities
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Ensure proper receipt of all items in accordance with receiving procedures and that items/products delivered meet the operation’s standard purchase specifications i.e., quality and quantity at the accepted price
The receiving staff is to enter the deliveries received into MC system and print the receiving summary.
Ensure that all items are accurately received by checking incoming items against the Purchase Order or record, standard purchase specifications and delivery orders
On the day before delivery (after 5.00 pm), print the Daily Deliveries Report from the MC System and check against the Purchase Order, Market List and Re-Order Form to confirm the delivery for the next day
Upon delivery of goods, check the invoice/delivery order against the daily deliveries report to confirm the vendor, description of items, quantity and unit price
Affix receiving stamp to each original copy of invoice/delivery order and record verification of quantity, quality and price
To count, weigh and verify each item received
When the weight or count of merchandise delivered differs from the invoice/delivery order, the delivery man and receiving staff must endorse for the actual quantity received in the invoice/delivery order.
If for any reason, the receiving staff is unable to accompany the delivery man, he may hold goods at the receiving area and contact requesting departments/outlets/kitchens/storerooms for collection and acknowledgement of goods
Invoices are to be checked by the receiving staff as to price, quantity and accuracy of extension.
He must also check for the signature of the store assistant for storeroom purchases and requesting department for direct purchase.
Complete a daily food and beverage receiving report and submit the invoices daily to the accounts payable coordinator.
Ensure that all items received in the hotel have passed through the stores and verified, any bulk items for repairs and maintenance that may not be presented to the stores have to be verified
as received after accompanying the same to their destination.
Qualifications
Previous experience is an asset

Responsibilities
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Using established Inventory Control techniques and procedures ensure the proper rotation and inventory levels are maintained.
Ensure accurate tracking of all items received and issued
Ensure proper communication with the Departments with regards to inventory levels and management.
Analyze previous purchases to predict future purchasing needs.
Generate weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators, such as inventory movement and volume, product overages and dead stock reports; stock rotation and wastage reports.
Monitor expiration and stock rotation.
Maintain staff motivation and develop strong channels of communication, through department meetings and incentive programs;
To train and develop employees, ensuring they have necessary skills to perform their duties;
Receiving products, checking weights, cost, quantity and quality.
Working with the Departmental Heads, preparing orders and order all products through the procurement system
Work directly with the Departmental Heads to ensure our items master list is maintained and proper inventory levels established
Responsible for storage & security for food and liquor stores items.
Coordinate month end inventories.
To adhere to all environmental policies and procedures as required.
Manage inventory variances through the purchasing system.
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Ensure that the department works closely with the Chef and the Food & Beverage Director to purchase the highest quality product while constantly searching for the lowest price.
Assist management with obtaining competitive price quotations and confirm purchase availabilities.
Provide the Controller with a monthly summary of outstanding purchase orders for goods and services received, but not yet invoiced, prior to month-end, as detailed in the Policy & Procedure Manual.
Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk in researching any discrepancies on invoices.
Ensure that all storage areas are secure, clean and properly organized.
Coordinate purchases related to capital projects with the corporate Purchasing Department as well as outside contractors.
Conduct frequent quality control audits to ensure staff is properly trained and following established procedures.
Ensure Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Core standards are maintained;
Ensure clean and safe working environment in accordance to the health and safety regulations

Qualifications
Previous experience is an asset
At least diploma in stores management/ purchasing and supplies management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least 2years experience in purchasing.
Very active in product sourcing and purchasing methodologies.
Good computer data entry skills.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment’s, such as scanners.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office / Microsoft Excel.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
Self-motivated and willing to work under minimal supervision.
Able to work in stores and stock procedures.
Experience with inventory control systems, ERP software, and procedures strongly preferred.
