Job Description

Duties

  • Responsible for support delivery of the Group Savings Targets and the implementation of the Group Procurement Strategy

  • Responsible for developing and delivering the relevant procurement categories as required Responsible for business requirements gathering and spend analysis

  • Driving the publication of tenders and other related documents as directed

  • Involved in the management and development of Group Supplier relationships and sourcing strategies

  • Financial Management

  • Process Management

  • To deliver optimal cost of ownership for Procurement categories

  • To deliver the savings targets in line with the savings methodology and agreed value add targets Supplier rates reviewed and negotiated for relevant categories

  • Spend analysis to be completed and updated and utilised for demand planning.

  • Reporting

  • Risk Management

  • Constantly monitor what the company purchases, delivers and spends to determine if goods are defective or not meeting performance demands

  • Must be able to analyse information and make quick decisions

  • Confident and a good negotiator

    Requirements

  • BCOM Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain

  • MBA advantageous

  • CIPS advantageous

  • 8 - 10 years’ experience working in a procurement environment of which a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity (FMCG experience will be an advantage)

  • Client liaison skills

  • Sourcing of Suppliers, negotiations, contract management and SLA management
