Senior Financial Manager The Senior Financial Manager will take full accountability for all financial aspects of the business, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
This is a complex role, which includes taking responsibility for the accounting, finance, external and internal reporting and taxation functions for all entities within the group, operating within South Africa and internationally.
The Senior Financial Manager will work closely with the business, providing support and advice in line with company strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
• Registered CA (SA).
• At least 5 years post-articles experience, preferably in a medium scale enterprise (SME).
• Sound working knowledge of accounting practices and principles, IFRS and Companies Act.
• Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency and inter-company transactions.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Value Added Tax and other tax legislative requirements locally, and in international jurisdictions.
• Experience in the interpretation and use of accounting standards and the Companies Act.
• Experience in managing / leading a team.
Duties and Responsiilities
Will include but not be limited to:
• Supporting business decision making by providing accurate financial reports, insights and analysis.
• Identifying risks and opportunities that impact the business.
• Ensuring statutory compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Compiling management accounts and variance checking for all
Pegasys entities.
• Producing annual expense budget and monthly review of expenditure against budget.
• Implementing and driving system and process efficiencies
• Forecasting, monitoring and managing cash flow.
• Producing annual budgets, monitoring and reporting on expenditure.
• Producing annual revenue forecasts, monitoring and reporting on progress against targets.
• Ensuring that all accounting transactions are in line with the principles of IFRS.
• Ensuring all entities are prepared for audits and reviewing audited financial statements.
• Consistent achievement of quality, accuracy and timeous delivery of financial information.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Responding to ad-hoc requests for financial data, and reports.
