Required Experience

  • Remuneration and Reward Philosophy and Strategy Conceptualization and development of a group-wide reward management philosophy and strategy.

  • Development and implementation of the reward strategy to include: Guaranteed and Variable pay salary bench-marking, pension arrangements, benefits management and annual compensation cycle events such as bonus and salary review.

  • Ongoing alignment of organisational compensation/reward philosophy and strategy to the business goals and the market, conduct research on relevant best practice as per key output. Liase with executive and senior leadership and get buy in compensation modelling researching and analyzing existing and alternative compensation policies, taking into account market related, wage and salary bench-marking reports, policies, practices and industry trends identifying the relevant comparator groups.

  • Developing compensation models in line with the business strategy. Support and guide the Remuneration Committee to ensure the organisation remains competitive and present through remuneration, benefits and incentive structuring models strategically implementing models with team.

  • Participate in remuneration networks representing the company to ensure current compensation knowledge maintained.

  • Remuneration and Reward policies and practices Design and implement policies that are researched against best practice and support the rapid growth and expansion of the organization Ongoing alignment of remuneration & reward policies and practices to the business goals and the market

  • Ongoing review of organisational employment policies to enable and support delivery, and ensure competitiveness and relevance. Ensuring relevant market
    bench-marking and consistency of application in the salary review process.
  • Facilitate communication and understanding of approved policies to enable compliance.

  • Establish budgeting guidelines, (salary increases, allowances revision, bonus provisions etc) based on market benchmark and affordability. Changes in employment and tax legislation identified and evaluated for implementation within the group. Policies and practices updated to comply with legislation.
  • Monitor legislation compliance. Recognition and Reward Strategies Identify valued ad appropriate benefits that increase the quality of life for employees.

  • Develop implementation proposal and obtain approval Act as trustee for benefit funds and schemes (Retirement and Medical) Implement approved recognition and reward projects International Assignment Remuneration Policies and Practices Research best practice with regard to compensation and reward for international assignee's.

  • Ensure knowledge of immigration, expatriate taxation and mobility practices Devise solutions for specific issues in countries or businesses that are in line with the group remuneration & reward philosophy but deliver the needs of the business (eg: inflation/ devaluation approach, special adjustments etc) Job Evaluation Frameworks Act as custodian of job evaluation processes within the group.

  • Research best practice with regard to job evaluation processes. Design and implement updates or amendments to the evaluation process

    Required Qualifications and Memberships

  • Relevant HR related qualification

  • SAIRA registered and Rem channel participation.

  • Member of SA Rewards Association.
