Program management support
Participate in program strategy meetings and determine logistical implications of proposed decisions
Participate in field activities led by the NTD Unit to ensure compliance with NPELF and Evidence Action operational guidelines
Tailor existing Deworm the World financial guidelines to suit NPELF-specific use
Document challenges experienced during implementation and provide specific and practical recommendations for future adjustments
Record successes and best practices that can inform future programming in Kenya and other countries
Manage mobile communications with counties and sub counties throughout implementation cascade
Training and sensitization materials support
Assist with sourcing and distribution plans for training materials and drugs, adhering to budget limits and ensuring cost-effective implementation
Contribute to review and revision of training and sensitisation materials in close collaboration with LF implementation team (including government and technical assistance partners)
Maintain communication with printers, confirming print lists and packaging and ensuring that materials adhere to program requirements for cost-effective, high quality printing
Manage materials dispatch by supervising loading, briefing transporters, accompanying materials to the field (if necessary), and ensuring appropriate storage and use of any excess materials
Coordinate with transport vendors and counties to confirm receipt and storage of materials by the county officers, and final dispatch to sub-counties; follow up to ensure the materials reach their final destinations
Ensure appropriate distribution to / within counties and sub-counties in correct quantities
Support the NTD Unit in coordinating media engagements for community sensitization and mobilization for LF MDA, including identifying appropriate radio stations and developing short radio messages
Drug supply chain support:
Collaborate with the NTD Unit to calculate drug requirements and treatment lists for the program.
Provide logistical support to the NTD Unit to facilitate timely drug dispatch at KEMSA Nairobi to the county pharmacies.
Communicate with counties to inform them about arrival of drugs and the available budget and logistics to manage the redistribution to their respective sub-counties
Communicate with sub-county MOHs to inform them about arrival of drugs, collection timing, and redistribution to their respective health facilities (and funds available for all the processes).
Assist in mitigating any challenges relating to drugs logistics that are reported from the sub-counties, including redistribution or transfer of drugs between sub-counties.
Disbursements and accountability:
Work in close collaboration with program and finance teams to ensure timely disbursements of funds to counties, sub-counties, and vendors, with correct amounts sent to the correct
people at the correct times.
Support the program to ensure that all funds disbursed to implementation partners are accounted for by tracking disbursements and reporting pending items to the manager.
Communicate to relevant program and finance team members about any changes to plans as implementation progresses.
Procurement support:
Arrange facilities and venues for external meetings during the LF cascade
Work with procurement team to identify efficient and compliant vendors, and support processes for purchasing materials e.g. printed items, T-shirts, bags, etc.
Liaise with the procurement and program teams to clearly and effectively document procurement in line with Finance requirements
Follow up to ensure that all materials are delivered on time for dispatch to the field
Work with procurement team to arrange adequate transport for materials
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a related program support capacity
Experience working with government stakeholders and health programs
Strong interpersonal skills, working across teams and cultures
Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
Strong written and oral communications skills
Demonstrated ability to be a productive team member at work, respecting differences while working toward shared goals
Pays close attention to detail and accuracy; personal initiative; reliability, flexibility and follow-up
Comfort with periods of ambiguity
Proficiency using standard Microsoft Office software and Google docs / sheets
Personal qualities of humility, capacity for self-reflection, and a sense of humor
