Job Description

Ethiopian Steel PLC is a leading manufacturer of steel roofing and allied building products in Ethiopia. It is one of the pioneers in providing roofing solutions in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Steel PLC is a proud member of Safal Group (www.safalgroup.com) which is Africa’s largest producer of steel roofing and building solution in Eastern and Southern Africa. Ethiopian Steel PLC is now would like to recruit motivated and qualified applicant for the following position.

Leading Treasury management, Management accounting and financial accounting

Stakeholder Management

Costing and Pricing

Team Management

Project management


Seniority: Senior Role, Reporting to General Manager and Functionally to the Group Finance Head.

Terms of employment:

Permanent after successful performance during the probation period of 6 months


Place of work:

Akaki kality UNISA circle, In front of Saint Michael Church. Company provides a fully maintained car with fuel as per company policy


Salary: Will match industry standards

Availability: Immediate not later than 31st July 2022


Job Requirements
Qualification: Must have:

Certification - ACCA or CPA or Qualified Accountant &

BA degree in Accounting/Finance\


Experience: (please don’t apply if any of the below is missing)

General Work Experience: 15 years minimum

Post Qualification (ACCA or CPA) experience: 5 Years minimum

Industry: Manufacturing (at least 3 years in last 8 years)

Must have finalized Annual Financials Statements of a mid-size company at least twice

Must have faced ERCA or Revenue Authority Audits at least once

At least 3 years’ experience of working with a financial ERP system

At least 3 years’ experience as the topmost finance and accounting position.


Skill required:

Internal & external Stakeholder management

Critical evaluation and monitoring of the relevant accounting standards, regulation and reporting frameworks.

Microsoft Excel -Advanced, PowerPoint, Advanced

Language skills:English and Amharic (should be able to translate accurately, with ease and speed)

Business Acumen

Leadership and Project management skills

Ability to put in late hours and long hours during peak work load

Commercial Acumen and contracting

Legal Acumen and familiarity of legal proceedings in Ethiopia
