Job summaryOne year contract with possible extension The main duties and responsibilities include directing, coordinate, implement, and monitor HIV Viral load and EID programs at regional level and Provide technical support to ensure sustainable HIV Viral load and EID quality services.

Laboratory services Expansion and Networking Team Leader, National Laboratories Capacity Building Directorate, Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI)
Technical support and coordinate HIV viral load activities at regional level
Assure implementation of HIV viral load and other QI activities in laboratories of national network
Mentor, support and capacitate laboratories in the national network to attain HIV Viral load plan
Provides basic laboratory and TOT trainings related to HIV viral testing, report generating
Collect, analyze, and compile viral load data regularly and interpret the report to players in the program.
Development of different laboratory guidelines, manuals, training curricula
standard operating procedures as well as job aids/formats related to HIV Viral load and laboratory quality assurance
Support HIV Viral load and EID activities
Participate
in monitoring and evaluation of HIV Viral load and EID testing and laboratory services improvement activities
Participate in assessment/ auditing HIV Viral load and EID activities
Participate in different institutional committee for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV Viral load and EID performance activities.
Perform other related activities as found to be relevant
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory technology and MSc in Clinical Laboratory Science/ Microbiology/ Virology/ Hematology/ Immunology.
At least 5 years of demonstrated progressive experience working in a medical diagnostic/ research laboratory setting
Demonstrated expertise in HIV Viral load and EID testing activities, with adequate knowledge of laboratory program coordination
Ability to objectively analyze situations and make recommendations for decisions
Outstanding report writing and communication skills
Ability to work with people at different levels - partners, donors, community level organizations and other stakeholders
Strong computer skill
