Ethiopian Human Right Commission Call for Consultancy Jobs in Ethiopia
Job DescriptionCall for consultancy for Preparing Background/Scoping Papers on Selected Economic and Social Rights
The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is one of the national democratic institutions prioritized for reform as part of the series of political, legal and electoral reforms.
EHRC recognizes the particularly significant role it can play in promoting and ensuring the protection of economic, social and cultural rights (ESCRs) of all persons.
It has already shown its commitment by prioritizing ESCR in the Amended Establishment Proclamation No. 1224/2020, which implies the appointment of a Thematic Commissioner for ESCR. To further strengthen its efforts and enhance its role and functions, EHRC is calling for consultants to prepare background/scoping papers on selected ESCRs – the right to adequate housing and the right to work and workers’ rights.
