Position: Manager, Surveillance
Duty Station: Addis Ababa Head Office
Availability: As Soon As Possible
Job Purpose: The purpose of this job is to plan, organize, direct and evaluate duties of the division; to assure integrity of the market through monitoring proper functioning of pre-trade, real time and post trade surveillance; to undertake market intelligence for the prevalence of orderly managed market; organize researches and analysis developed on market behaviors; to validate cases initiated for further investigation, lead, manage, coaches and mentors his/her team under his/her direct supervision; and produce periodic reports of the division.
Summary Major Duties and Responsibilities Plans, organizes, monitors and evaluates duties of the division;
Manages the implementation of pre-trade, real time and post trade surveillance on daily base, undertake Investigation on trade malpractice and propose alternative solutions;
Verify and address tips collected from stakeholders and market actors on market behavior,
and addresses concerns raised from stakeholder’s subject to market integrity and works on communal activities with other divisions on surveillance matters;
Manages and administers market intelligence duties with support of complaint Handling application;
Follows up proper functioning and utilization of market surveillance application and automated devices and IT related software’s;
Develops or Validates periodic report of the division and timely report to concerned bodies;
Develops /reviews and periodically updates policies, procedures and manuals of market surveillance; ensures its effective implementation;
Directs, leads, guides, supports, coordinates, controls, develops performance plan and reviews employees performance under his/her direct supervision to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet the Division’s targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards;
Prepares periodic reports of the Division per the reporting requirements of the Exchange; and
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Required Qualification and Experience
MBA\MA\MSc\BA\BSc Degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Related Fields.
6/8 years relevant work experience in market or warehouse surveillance, market analysis, business or related field out of which at least 2 years’ in supervisory or managerial positions.
