Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager reports to the Adama site manager and interface with National Projects and Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the entire maintenance department of the site including future sites in Adama.

The successful candidate will guide a group of maintenance people stationed Adama. Work performed will include electrical and plumbing installation, maintenance and repairs.

Special focus must be given to preventative maintenance processes, skills transfer and health, safety and risk management

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation

Implement preventative maintenance programs and

monitoring systems

Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues

Check electrical and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality and standardization.

Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, inclusive of new incubator installations

Allocate work projects to the maintenance team

Develop and implement training programs for all maintenance team members

Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary

Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers

Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

Work with site managers in terms of maintenance requirements

Job Requirements

Qualification

Diploma or above qualification as an electrician

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years experience in electrical maintenance and general maintenance.
