Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

Drives day old chicken delivery car to transport day old chickens and vaccines from all Ethiochicken dispatch sites to assigned customer location.

Verifies load against documents and hands over the same to customers at the specified place of destination on these documents and gets verification for delivery by having customers sign delivery/ hand over documents.

Checks accessories and supplies such as tire, light, oil, fuel, water etc. and ensures readiness of the car for duty.

Carries out minor roadside repairs such as changing tires, fixing light, greasing etc.

Schedule and manages vehicles routine maintenance in liaison with garages.

Reports to the concerned supervisor by giving detail written description of defects if major repair is required.

Prepares and makes a request of any spare part or any required material for the operation of the vehicle and, follows through on the procurement in liaison with the procurement department and the logistics manager for day old chickens.

Inspects the quality of maintenance performed at the time of receiving the vehicle from maintenance service provider.

Care for and operate the vehicle as per the rules and regulations of the Ethiopian government.

Ensures that proper handling of day old chickens based on guidelines provided during loading, transport and off boarding.

Reports to traffic police, insurance companies and other authorities in the case of accidents and follows through on required process.

Collects perdiem and provisional cash for field trips and settles up the same by producing supporting documents immediately after completing every delivery.

Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

Competences

Qualification and Requirement

10th grade complete & 3rd grade driving license

A short-term training in Automotive Technology

Experience:

4 years of driving experience
