Summary

  • Ethio cement PLS is looking for a junior accountant who would work under close supervision of general accounts head, Junior accountant performs duties related to data entry, receiving transactions on prime registers, checking correctness of calculations, additions, updating, registering, recording as per instructions provided.

    Specific duties and responsibilities

  • Enter data into the system from source documents

  • Check correctness of prices, calculations and additions on cash sales invoice prior recording.

  • Maintains delivery orders register and reference delivery orders to credit sales invoice in the register.

  • Update memorandum records of supplier’s credit invoice

  • Record on direct and indirect materials stock record cards moves cost computations

  • Computes price of store issues vouchers from the stock record cards on pricing policy of the company.

  • Verifies and submits checks and cash payment

  • voucher together with the necessary supporting documents to the supervisor.

  • Perform other activities as and when assigned by immediate supervisor.

    Job Requirements

  • Ba or Diploma in accounting from recognized college.

  • No experience for BA or 2 years of relevant experience for Diploma.

  • Knowledge of basic computer applications
