Description

  • We are looking to hire an experienced Budget Accountant with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Managers to develop the departmental budgets

  • Review budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and other regulations

  • Combine all the program and department budgets together into a consolidated organizational budget

  • Review all funding requests for merit

  • Explain their recommendations for funding requests to the Executive Management

  • Help the Chief Operations Officer and Managers analyze proposed plans and find alternatives if the projected results are unsatisfactory

  • Monitor organizational spending to ensure that it is within budget

  • Inform program managers of the status and availability of funds

  • Estimate future financial needs

    Requirements

  • B.Sc in Accounting

  • SAP FICO Compliant

  • Minimum of years proven experience in similar role

  • ICAN/ACCA certification will be an added advantage

  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels

  • Excellent teamwork, negotiation, organization and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Familiarity with data entry and
    analysis

  • Highly competent in Ms Excel, accounting software and invoice discounting.
