Minimum Requirements: CA(SA) with preferably Training Officer Experience to drive compliance with the SAICA Training Regulations
Preferably a Registered SAICA Assessor

Responsibilities will include
Communications
Monitor the SAICA shared mailbox and support trainees by responding to their queries and providing guidance with their 3 years article requirements to achieve their CA(SA) trainee program
Develop all communications to trainees, managers and assessors, including when TSRs/PSRs/LORs are due, ANA/PDA deadlines etc. and other pertinent information including CA 2025 training program
Develop all communications to trainees and managers regarding professional exams ie ITC and APC.
LTS (second years and third years)
Monitor LTS for all late submissions and sign offs of trainees, reviewers, counsellors and assessors
New Electronic Assessment Tool - EAT (first years)
Monitor LOR and PDA for all late submissions and sign offs of trainees, reviewers, counsellors and assessors
Training
Stay abreast of the Responsibilities of the Training Officer, as per the SAICA Training Regulations
With L&D, diarise all LTS/EAT training events for trainees, reviewers, counsellors and assessors
Preparation and distribution of training material (LTS/EAT and Ethics training)
Facilitate training of LTS/EAT for Trainees, Reviewers, Counsellors and Assessors and the Ethics training for trainees
Create all simulations with L&D and mark all simulations with the assistance of managers
Registered assessors
Allocate trainees between registered assessors.
Review a sample of assessors to ensure quality of ANAs and PDAs.
Conduct in-house training for managers to become Registered Assessors.
Professional exams
Manage the relationship between SAICA and the board course service providers/vendors regarding professional exams including payment – EY specific programs
Responsible for the analysis of all professional exams results for
both ITC and APC
Other
Continuous updates to the generic training plans for both SAICA 2016 curriculum and the CA 2025 programme
Ensure that the share drive is kept updated with all the current SAICA documents
Full accountability and responsibility covering the SAICA training office role as envisaged in the SAICA Training Regulation guidelines and supplemented by EY specific initiatives
Facilitate and prepare all supporting documentation for the various SAICA office visit reviews – perform a root cause analysis on the SAICA report and implement action plan to address findings
Responsible for the preparation of monthly LTS/EAT reports to be shared with trainees, managers, STO regional champions, Talent managers ,TELs etc
Responsible for tracking the supervisors that are at risk of not being signed off – co-ordination with talent managers, counsellors and resource managers on an appropriate development plan
Co-ordination of monthly meeting with Talent managers and STO regional champions.
Co-ordination of weekly STO meeting with Training officer and STO support team.
Represent EY at SAICA meetings related to training program.
Manage and oversee the Training office team (currently 3 staff).
