Ernst & Young Global Independence Consultation Lead (Manager) Jobs in South Africa


Key responsibilities

  • Prepare independence consultations for engagement partner and audit partners as it relates to non-audit services.

  • Hold discussions with Engagement Partners and Audit Partners to ensure any queries / concerns are addressed and clearly documented.

  • Ensure that the documented consultations contain and address all the relevant points in the EYG Independence Policy and the IRBA Code.

  • Prepare consultations to ensure that comply with our EYG Independence Policy and IRBA Code.

  • Obtain the necessary and timely signoffs from the Engagement Partner, Audit Partner, EQR and Independence Team.

  • Attend independence training as appropriate.

    Experience:

  • Stakeholder Management.

  • Building and maintaining relationships.

  • Independence processes and rules.

    Knowledge:

  • IRBA Code of Conduct for Registered Auditors

  • IESBA Code

    Skills and attributes:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to deliver high quality in a pressurised and demanding environment.

  • Self-starter and determined

  • Business Partner approach.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with senior leaders.

  • Able to work on their own.

  • Strong analytical thinking and risk management skills.

  • Exercises excellent judgment.
