Job description We’re currently looking for a Senior Manager to play a leading role in our dedicated Digital and Emerging Technology team. The ideal candidate needs to have a proven track record on managing multiple clients/projects at once, whilst supporting the development of market leading solutions and supporting our go-to-market activities. The person further needs 10+ years of experience in managing teams in executing across complex heterogeneous technology solution offerings.
Role:
To manage client portfolios relating to the design, development and implementation of emerging technology solutions, both in South Africa and abroad. Typically these solutions will include cloud services, micro services, data mesh integrations and off the shelve EY solutions to fast track delivery. A consulting background preferable, with an understanding of business and operational processes.
The key requirement of this role will be the ability to understand and unpack a client’s requirements and design an appropriate solution and architecture to meet the brief, while at the
same time managing the client relationship, expectations, risks and progress against milestones.
Skills and attributes for success:
Technology solutions skills
Delivering technology strategy, governance and practical execution-ready architecture for our clients
Knowledge of security requirements across geographies and how to manage that through appropriate cloud, on prem and hybrid architectures
Define and implement solutions that use new and emerging platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Microservice and data mesh architectures
Experience in Agile software delivery frameworks and DevOps processes
Technical skills
Modern programming languages.
Low code platforms.
DevOps tools.
Cloud services.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Relevant degree or similar qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.
Ideally, you’ll also have experience in:
Past software development experience.
A hunger to stay abreast of the latest technologies and concepts.
A passion for teaching and mentoring
International and / or consulting experience would be beneficial.
