Job Summary

The Material/Logistics reports to the Operations Manager and assists the Branch Manager.

He/she is responsible for the overall management of the yard ensuring an extremely efficient, safe organized yard operation.

The Yard supervisor will be in charge of laborers, vehicle operators, material movers and helpers.

He/She will prepare work orders and shipping documents, maintain shipping and employee records and manage inventory.

These professionals must also make sure safety procedures are followed, and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the Request of Materials to client as per Site requirement.

Liaise with the Material Managers and coordinate all material delivery activities between material officers.

Responsible for Receiving & Inspection of Piping, Electrical, Mechanical Steel structure & Instrumentation materials as per Pick Tickets.

Checks of consignment during off-loading shall include validity and generation of receiving Check List, Box or package count, visible damage to packing or to goods.

Organize the routine inspection of the goods in coordination with the Client Material Department and assure a good traceability of delivered materials.

Communicate with QA/QC inspection about quality deviation of delivered materials.

Responsible to inform about all the shortage, outstanding materials to Client.

Keeping track of all incoming, outgoing & shortage materials & Run reports to verify inventory accuracy,

Prepare and circulate all periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) inventory reports

Required Qualification

Tertiary Degree in related

field preferred.

At least three (3) years working experience in yard, inventory or warehouse management.

Facilitates projects and effectively manages multiple tasks.

Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).

Possesses strong leadership skills, effectively manages a diverse team and achieves results.

Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.

Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.

Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
