ERC Assistant Supply Chain Jobs Kenya
Job Grade Erc 6
Reporting A Principal Supply Chain Management Officer, the successful candidate will work under the supervision of a senior officer and will assist in providing advisory services on procurement, inventory management and disposal matters while ensuring that goods, works and services are economically available to the organization in an economical way.
Responsibilities
Procurement and Disposal
Sourcing for goods and services m per the procurement law;
Raising purchase orders for goods and services for approval;
Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods;
Maintaining and updating a list of qualified suppliers;
Undertaking market survey to ensure ERC obtains value for money;
Ensuring safe custody of all procurement records;
Attending the opening of quotations and tenders.
Inventory Management
Implementing measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in procurement and stores management;
Carrying out annual and periodic stock taking;
Setting up accurate inventory control systems so as to maintain optimum stock levels;
Maintaining inventory in good condition for continual usage;
Advising and employing best storage methods;
Maintaining and updating all inventory records;
Receipting of all inventory and raising inventory receipt documents;
Ensuring safety, security and cleanliness in the stores;
Preparation of disposal documents;
Initiating documentation for payment of suppliers for services rendered; and
Maintaining register of return stores and lists of items awaiting disposal.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics and Procurement Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in computer application;
Planning skills;
Communication and reporting skills;
Interpersonal skills; and
Team player.
Other Requirements
Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of
the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (-IELB);
Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
Terms of Employment
The positions of Pricing Analyst, Electricity Officer (Meters & Metering) and Electricity Officer (Consumer Installations) will be filled on permanent and pensionable terms of service. The rest of the positions will be on contract terms of service.
