ERC Assistant ICT Officer Kenya Jobs
The Commission is seeking to recruit a progressive individual who is a team player and results oriented to fill the following vacant position:Reporting to the Principal ICT Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for development of efficient and effective business systems aligned A business needs, frequent enhancement of the application systems for optimized usage.
Responsibilities
Gather system improvements or enhancement from end users and convert them to workable solutions through use of agile system development techniques;
Develop systems based on the user requirements;
Build USSD and SMS based systems;
Build and maintain business mobile applications (apps);
Daily website maintenance across Al digital properties (B2B & e-commerce); including troubleshooting, changes, data integrations and QA/UAT.
Customize the Regulatory Management Information System A meet the business needs;
Design and develop adhoc reports for the end-users;
Ensure security controls is built into applications systems during development;
Undertake thorough system As-tang before deployment;
Constant review of the applications systems to suggest improvements; and
Identify the risks associated with application systems and develop appropriate mitigations measures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree A Compiler Science, Information Communication Technology, Electronics Engineering or any other ICI’ related disciplines with a bias A computer science from a recognized institution.
Team player with Communication, interpersonal and negotiation, and reporting analytical skills; and
Project management skills,
Other Requirements
Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (-IELB);
Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
Terms of Employment
The positions of Pricing Analyst, Electricity Officer (Meters & Metering) and Electricity Officer (Consumer Installations) will be filled on permanent and pensionable terms of service. The rest of the positions will be on contract terms of service.
