Job DetailsThe Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a State Corporation established under the Energy Act 2019 and is responsible for Economic and Technical Regulation of Electric Power, Renewable Energy, Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Petroleum sub-sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Formulation and implementation ICT strategies;
Ensuring adherence to ICT policies, procedures and standards;
Oversee ICT programs and activities in liaison with the head of ICT;
Coordinating and supervising ICT unit/division;
Establishing mechanisms for disaster recovery and business continuity; and
Supervising and managing assigned ICT projects within the planned timelines and budget projections.
Qualifications & Skills Required
At least eight years (8) of relevant work experience, three (3) of which must be at supervisory level;
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Communications Technology, Electronics Engineering or any other ICT related disciplines with a bias in computer science from a recognized institution (CUE equivalence where applicable);
A Masters degree in Computer Science or any other ICT related discipline from a recognized Institution;
Management course lasting not less four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Relevant Professional qualifications in any two of the following courses:
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate;
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certificate;
• Microsoft Certified Systems Developer (MCSD) certificate;
• Certified Cyber Security from an internationally recognized institution;
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
Personal attributes such; strategic thinking, analytical skills, project management skills, strong communication and reporting skills, strong managerial skills and ability to lead teams, mentoring, coaching and leadership skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a team player.

A detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, level of education and names of at least three professional referees
Copies of academic and professional certificates
Copy of National Identification Card or Passport
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
