About Us:

Founded in 2018, Addis Ababa based construction equipment supplier EMAK was established with one goal in mind- to become the leading supplier of quality construction equipment’s and generators and to become a catalyst of growth for the construction industry in Ethiopia.

Serving its city, the company has set up two showrooms in conveniently located areas. The first one on Ethio-china road in Welo sefer and our second showroom location by Atlas in front of Atlas Hotel, where customers can view a selection of products deigned to address all our customers’ needs in the construction sector as well as generators of different brands and models for all other business owners and home owners.

We carry a plethora of items particularly generators, vibrators, rammers, water pumps, hoses, spare parts and more.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia near Atlas

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Masters’ degree in Accounting or Finance
Eight years or above experience in all accounting activities listed herein

Plan, implement and oversee

overall accounting strategy

Oversee accounting daily operations

Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc…

Monitor and analyze accounting data

Regularly produce financial reports or statements

Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Encourage other employees to adhere to standards

Perform and oversee annual audits

Provide recommendations to upper management on accounting activities and practices

Meet financial accounting objectives

Handle all accounting responsibilities related to Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority

Excellent computer skills on MS Office, especially Excel

Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases

Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision

Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Amharic

Willingness and ability to work under tight timelines, and flexibility to engage in multiple projects

Desired:

Knowledge of Ethiopian construction sector

Experience and knowledge in generators and other construction equipment’s
