EM Investment Partners Senior Copy Editor/ Sub Editors Part Time or Full Time Jobs in Zambia

Role Summary

We are a financial media company that produces investment information and events focused on emerging markets.

Based in the UK, we are looking for video editors to be based in our Zambia office.

The role of Senior Copy Editor/ Sub Editor is to ensure that the projects assigned are successful by meeting and exceeding targets.

We are hiring for two positions

• Full Time

• Part Time (Weekends or Evenings Only) .

Responsibilities

• Review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.

• Ensure that content is published in a timely manner.

• Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow and structure of content.

• Ensure that content adheres to in-house style guide.

• Write blurbs, ledes, headlines, and straplines

• Compile and update style guides as required.

• Collaborate with team to come up with fresh and creative ideas, keeping audience in mind.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

• Stay abreast of latest media trends and content best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English or related field

• Previous sub-editing or copy editing experience

• Experience working to tight deadlines

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Experiencing in publishing and/or editing preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organised and detail oriented

• Leadership and time management skills.

• Proficient in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of SEO preferred, but not required

Job Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English or related field
