Our client, a well established restaurant and lounge based in Westlands Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Restaurant Manager to join their team.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Restaurant.

Delivers revenue and profits by marketing, financing and providing appealing restaurant services and managing staff.

Duties

Attracts patrons by developing and marketing advertising , public and community development programs

General oversee an manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions an matters of importance.

Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply , utility and labor costs.

Responsible for ensuring that all financial and personnel / payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately on tome and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Estimate food and beverages costs. Work with corporate office staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies.

Estimate food needs, places orders with distributors and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.

Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guest into return guests.

Ensure all security procedures in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.

Ensure safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.

Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. Direct hiring, supervision, development and when necessary , termination of employees.

Develop employees by providing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.

Provide strong presence in local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.

Job Specifications

Posses’ leadership abilities

Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.

Have the ability to work under pressure.

Ability to multitask

A college degree is preferred. Bachelor of Science in hotel / restaurant management is desirable.

Practical experience of 5 yrs in similar role.

Reporting To: Finance&Operations Manager

Job Summary

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, administers the operations of a store. Receives, verifies stock. Maintains inventory, maintains files and prepares reports.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Ensure that goods received are of quality and quantity ordered and in accordance with agreed prices.

To ensure that all good are stored correctly.

To complete all documentation and take the necessary action in cases of non delivery, substandard deliveries or overpricing.

To ensure

maximum security of all storeroom areas, ensuring that no unauthorized person enters the stores or is issued a key allowing access.

To inform management and follow agreed procedures in case of spoilage or damage of any item.

To take stock at prescribed intervals.

To ensure correct stock rotation and that issues are effected on first in first out basis.

Qualifications

At least a certificate in procurement and supply chain management.

At least 1-2 years working as a store keeper.

Time Management Skills.

Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Computer literate.

Ability to work under minimum supervision.

Good written and spoken English.

Possess good analytical and observational skills.

3. Elite HR Steward Job vacancies in Kenya

Reports To: Head Chef

Job Purpose

Basic maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area is the responsibility of the steward, who works under the supervision of the head chef or restaurant manager.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Report to work in uniform at posted schedules times.

Ensure a clean and workable kitchen area at all times.

Perform general janitorial cleaning, such as sweeping and mopping floors washing worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.

Restock cooks line and dining room services areas with clean dishes glasses and silverware.

Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.

Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.

Remove and break down any boxes from kitchen and keep loading dock and dumpster area clean.

Make sure all washrooms are always clean at all times.

Properly store all cleaning supplies and equipments ie mops buckets cleaning chemicals.

Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or use of a hand truck.

Follow all safety procedures at all times.

Assist prep cook as assigned , prepping or putting away stock as assigned.

Be able to change from accustomed shift to meet business demands

Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

At least form four certificates.

Have an attitude for learning.
