Job Summary The Electrical Technician Is responsible for carrying out maintenance on the Bank's electrical systems including Automatic Voltage Regulators, Generators, electrical boards, cabling and any other electrical equipment and installations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Compliance with local, city, county, and national electrical codes
• Safely Install and repair wiring, electrical forturet, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifieations schematics, and blueprints
• Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, Including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circult-breaker panels, etc
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and all electrical apparatus tar machines: and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics. or blueprints;
• Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment:
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments, measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and Install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices. hand tools. pipe threader and conduit bender,
• Performing preventative maintenance on variable frequency drives (UFO's), motors, pumps, generators, etc,
• Receive and complete work orders;
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates;
• Maintain accurate
records on material and labor used;
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials;
Qualifications and Work Experience
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C.
• Must hold a Government Trade Test Grade I in Electrical installations & Maintenance.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Elector-Mechanical Engineering or related field from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
• Not less than three (3) years post-graduation experience In electrical Installations and maintenance.
