Electoral Commission Senior Assistant Election Officer - Cashier Jobs in Uganda

The Electoral Commission, which was established under Article 60 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and mandated to conduct public elections and referenda, invites applications from suitably qualified persons with proven integrity and initiative, results oriented, able to lead teams, and excellent client care to fill a vacant position within its establishment.

Senior Assistant Election Officer Grade II/Cashier

Duty Station:

Job Purpose:

To effectively and efficiently handle the cash management function in the accounts office.

Duties:

Working as the Commission's agent in Bank of Uganda responsible for drawing cash.

Making cash payments as approved.

Maintenance of the Cash Payment Register.

Safely filing used documents and records generated in the Cash Office.

Maintaining petty cash.

Maintaining an accurate filing system for financial documents e.g. URA and NSSF receipts.

Person Specification:

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

Uganda Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration or any other business related diploma obtained from a recognized institution.

Partial qualification in ACCA or CPA is an added advantage.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years' working experience , at least three (3) of which should have been in a cash/accounts office in government or a reputable organization.

Preferred Skills and personal attributes:

High level of integrity and Good communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Good customer care and interpersonal skills

Good knowledge of Ms office applications (Word and Excel)

Good sense of Judgment.

Age:

28 years and above.
