EGPAF NGO Program Officer –QA/QI Jobs in Kenya
To support establishment, expansion and integration of quality improvement activities to support provision of quality integrated HIV prevention, HIV counselling and testing, care and treatment services within the Ministry of Health, Private and Faith Based Sector health facilities in supported counties.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing a quality of care strategy and working with other members of the Project team to provide on-going support to supported sites ensuring that quality is integrated into the day-to-day activities
Key Responsibilities
Work with Project and other EGPAF staff to develop a country, project and county specific Quality Management plans.
Oversee implementation of Project quality management plans at supported sites.
Train Project and MOH staff in quality management activities.
Lead efforts to conduct site-specific assessments of quality management capacity.
Conduct routine site visits to support quality assurance and improvement activities.
Oversee site level training and efforts to build site capacity to implement quality management activities, working in collaboration with appropriate staff
Conduct cross-site data analysis regarding quality of care.
Oversee data collection activities related to quality improvement efforts. This may include, but not limited to, working with Project M&E Officer, Data Managers and other technical staff as well as site staff to routinely analyze data and provide feedback and use this data for planning and decision making to improve quality of services
Serve as the primary liaison with other EGPAF Projects, supported counties and NASCOP to coordinate and support quality improvement efforts, working closely with Ministry of Health/NASCOP in implementation of National quality improvement and assurance activities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a medical related
field with at least 5 years of continuous HIV quality program implementation experience
Master’s Degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in establishing and sustaining working relationships with the Government of Kenya Ministries of Health, other implementing partners and donor agencies at senior level
Significant and up to date knowledge of the current ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, HTC guidelines, standards, tools and best practices
Experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment program implementation with demonstrated expertise in initiating care and treatment services in a public, faith based or private health facilities
Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating HIV /AIDS quality assessment and quality improvement for prevention, care and treatment interventions.
Knowledge of PEPFAR Program and NASCOP reporting requirements including familiarity with the data collection and reporting tools used by NASCOP
Ability to work with limited supervision
Excellent communication, interpersonal, report writing and analytical skills
Dedicated visionary and strategic leader with ability and experience to work in a multidisciplinary, multi-cultural team
