Education Service Commission Education Officer - Admissions and Scholarships Jobs in Uganda
Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceA Master’s Degree in Education or Education Planning and Management from a recognized University/Institution;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Bachelor’s Degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized University/Institution;
Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports
At least nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal Officer in the field of Higher Education.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the technical and general management of the Division;
Provide effective leadership and guidance to the Division staff in the execution of policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to
scholarships and admissions to Higher Institution of Learning;
Disseminate information pertaining to scholarships, admissions in Tertiary
Institutions;
Monitor and evaluate the management and performance of Tertiary Institutions;
Liaise with Foreign missions’, agencies and training institutions on matter pertaining to Education and welfare;
Maintain periodical up to date information on students regarding their intake, performance and welfare;
Ensure that admissions to undergraduate and diploma courses in all constituent institutions of Tertiary Education are dealt with in a systematic
manner as laid out in the requirements;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

the Commission Website: www.esc.go.ug.
Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should attach photocopies of Academic Certificates and Transcripts plus three recent passports size photograph Serving Officers should attach appointment and confirmation letters and recent pay slips.
Qualifications from only recognized institutions will be considered.
Serving officers Must route their applications through their Heads of Institutions/Departments, who should be advised of the closing date to avoid
delays.
