Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceA Master’s Degree in Education or Education Management & Planning;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Bachelor’s Degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized University/Institution;
Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports
A Qualification in Education inspection is an added advantage.
At least nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal Officer or its equivalent in the field of Inspection.
Duties/Responsibilities
Heading the Regional Education Standards office
Advises the Director, Education Standards on matters relating to Education Standards in the region;
Advises on matters relating to confirmation of teachers and their general terms and conditions of service;
Provides technical advice on syllabus development and subject assessment of subjects taught in schools in liaison with the National
Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB);
Monitors. inspects and evaluates the status and use of instructional
materials in Education and Sports sector; and
Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

The ESC Form 3 (1998) is obtainable from the Education Service Commission Offices 1st floor Farmers’ House, Parliament Avenue Kampala or Ministry of Education and Sports Headquarters or District Service Commission offices &
the Commission Website: www.esc.go.ug.
Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should attach photocopies of Academic Certificates and Transcripts plus three recent passports size photograph Serving Officers should attach appointment and confirmation letters and recent pay slips.
Qualifications from only recognized institutions will be considered.
Serving officers Must route their applications through their Heads of Institutions/Departments, who should be advised of the closing date to avoid
delays.
