Education Development Trust Regional Coordinator Vacancies in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesTo co-ordinate the day to day running of the WWW project in the designated project
area;
Support overall Project mobilisation phases and project implementation over the life of
the project;
Support and strengthen the capacity of instructional coaches and other interventions
implemented to address key challenges and issues impeding grade appropriate reading fluency and comprehension;
Develop and maintain excellent relationship with clients, schools, consortium partners
and key stakeholders through clear, effective and timely communications (both written
and oral);
Implement and maintain agreed project management processes and administrative
systems to ensure projects run efficiently and information is up-to-date and readily
available;
Assist with the collation and quality assurance of all documentation prepared by the
project team; to ensure reporting is undertaken in a timely manner and meets the
requirements of the client and Education Development Trust processes;
Track and maintain assigned project budgets, prepare monthly reports for the
Programme
Escalate any issues in a timely and effective manner.
Raise Purchase orders and receive goods as appropriate. Liaise with Finance Team
to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Provide leadership & advisory services to instructional coaches in conducting
teaching coaching activities
Qualifications
Proven successful experience in project co-ordination role including preparation of
project plans, risk and issues logs; management of project action plans.
Project budget development and management.
Planning and performance management
Ability to use initiative demonstrating commitment and flexibility.
Evidence of having operated in a pressurised environment.
Ability to prioritise workload, and work to deadlines.
Ability to recognise ‘drift’ and develop and implement remedial actions
Working on multiple projects and tasks
Monitoring work, ensuring its quality and acting to correct problems arising

Education Development Trust Deputy Project Director Vacancies in Kenya
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Project Director and partners to identify, plan and manage technical
capacity building and backstopping including learning lessons to inform quality project
improvements, sustainability, and policy outcomes.
Manage cross cutting technical strategy in all pathways and learning outcomes
Ensure performance quality by certifying the training materials for technical project
purposes and periodical reviews to drive quality and effectiveness
Offer technical oversight and guidance to partners and regular convening of the technical
committees/working groups
Lead in knowledge Management and Learning agenda through tracking and reporting of
learning outcomes, developing learning outcomes analytical reports etc
Work with Ed-tech partners to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive
learning outcomes in all the pathways
Act as programme representative in government and any other relevant technical
committees to enhance synergies and quality delivery of programme
Lead in organizing and executing joint supervision and monitoring by government and
external clients,
Support and strengthen the capacity of Regional coordinators and instructional coaches in
teacher coaching and other interventions implemented to address key challenges and
issues impeding grade appropriate lower and upper grade literacy and numeracy interventions.
Provide technical lead in support to consortium partners on programme components
related to early grade learning Literacy & Numeracy and whole school behavior change
Qualifications
A Master’s degree or higher in education or a related field, and a minimum of 12 years of
relevant professional engagement in the education sector or related sectors and with a
minimum of three years in senior management or similar roles
Prior experience and familiarity with donor project management policies, procedure and
reporting requirements, particularly DFID.
Proven management and implementation of large education projects or similar project and
prior experience managing large-scale projects of US $5 million or more with
geographically dispersed teams
Strong leadership skills across various levels of staff and locations.
Strong ability to work across technical and operational areas.
Strong communication, both oral and written, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to
develop excellent relations with key stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse
staff, clients and consultants.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities
Concise and accurate report writing
