What the Role is About
• Contributre to the development of business strategies that are aligned to and support the achievement of EAMVL’s overall goals
• Develop, implement and monitor Human Resources policies and procedures throughout EMAVL ensuring they communicate our values, mission and vision
• Work with Senior Management on creating EAMVL’s learning and development plan to ensure the needs of our organization are met through our people and result in us achieving our strategic goals
• Propose, implement and monitor employee performance systems, frameworks and procedures that will result in building a fully engaged, motivated and highly skilled workforce
• Ensure an efficiently run Administration function that provides a safe, conducive and enabling physical environment for the organization’s operations to thrive and succeed
Education Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration and Management or any other related professional course or Post Graduate Diploma from a recognized Institution.
• Master’s degree in HR Management
or professional membership of a certifying body (e.g. CIPD or SHRM)
• Membership to the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda an added advantage
Experience and Knowledge
• At least 8 years’ experience working in the HR/ People function of a medium sized organisation
• At least 5 years in a managerial / Head of function role (manufacturing experience an added advantage)
• Demonstrated experience in managing an Administration Function (logistics, procurement, office services, health & safety)
• Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, self-initiative and communications skills
• Experience of acting as an HR Business Partner to internal or external customers
• Experience in developing and managing Performance Management Learning & Development and Reward & Remuneration Systems
• Demonstrable and proven experience in Talent Sourcing & Management
• Thorough knowledge of Employment laws of Uganda
• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment across the organisation
