DRC Livelihoods Assistant Jobs in Uganda

The Livelihoods Officer supports Team Leader-Livelihoods in the field implementation of the livelihoods component in Adjumani settlement, Uganda. The Livelihoods will closely monitor the quality of the activities and ensure a close coordination with the authorities, other service providers and the community for the implementation of the activities. (1-2 sentences)

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Team Leader- Livelihoods attend and represent the interests of DRC specific livelihoods related meetings
Attend and represent the interests of DRC in specific Livelihoods related meetings as directed by the Team Leader-Livelihoods.

Actively coordinate within the jurisdiction of your responsibility

Represent DRC with the Local Authorities and other stakeholders in the districts of jurisdiction.

Actively participate in internal coordination meeting to ensure internal coordination with livelihoods team and other sectors

Contribute and actively participate in a regular sector meeting

Requirements

Minimum of 03 years working experience in the implementation of both development and Humanitarian projects including; - Livelihoods, Agriculture development, Emergency Food Aid, Nutrition, Food security and Micro-finance (VSLA) being integrated in all projects.

Bachelor of Science Degree in General Agriculture

Thematic trainings relevant to the position for instance; FFS, Value chain development, Nutrition, project management, farmer’s Institutional development, Life skills, Climate Smart Agriculture and among others.

Languages: English, Other local languages (optional)
