Doctors with Africa CUAMM Surgeon Jobs in Uganda

Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first NGO in the healthcare area officially recognized in Italy. Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, actually CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.


Requirements

University Degree in Medicine with further specialisation in Surgery or equivalent title

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

Long time experience in the field of general surgery and emergency surgery

Previous professional experience in Developing Countries

Key Duties

The specific tasks will be:

management and clinical support to the Surgery Department, in order to improve the organization in terms of staff and use of materials and equipment

training of department personnel regarding the application of national and international guidelines and standard- support the hospital information system (HIMS)

supervise drugs management in the department
collaboration in the activities of continuous improvement of the quality of services for maternal and newborn health

tutorship of an Italian resident in Surgery
