Key purpose The Distribution Technology team is looking for a Business Architect to assist in defining and designing the technology ecosystem for financial advisers.
The successful candidate must have a:
Good understanding of business and technology
Deep knowledge on the adviser customer Journey, customer segmentation, propensity scoring, targeting and campaign management aimed at supporting financial advisers.
Strong design thinking and UX experience.
Sound understanding of database concepts, and customer data modelling
The Business Architect will also have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding business needs and translating these to System projects and System improvements or to Manual Process improvements.
Ensuring Quality in Business with respect to understanding: Organisation structure, Business
Processes, Business Rules and System support
Lead in Product Development Analysis and design
Lead in Critical Projects Analysis and Design
Gives feedback on delivery and project plans and assists with impact analysis
Makes recommendations to management regarding opportunities, progress and improvement
strategies.
Has an understanding of the many components that make up a business and is able to research
and build entire business needs considering all elements.
Without supervision undertakes specialist feasibility analysis, evaluations or business projects
Collaborate with peer architects in other businesses to ensure proper solution integration.
Work closely with all stakeholders and secure buy-in.
Produces Business Architecture document which outlines the project intent and all impacted
components.
Brief and sign-off on all
solutions to be implemented with business owners and relevant implementation teams from Systems, Marketing,
Legal and Compliance, Operations and Training.
Develop business cases for solutions and assisting business owners in the process of developing theirs.
Play an active role in the prioritisation forums.
Education
Matric (Essential)
BSC or BComm (Hons) (Informatics)
Business Analyst or Architecture course (Essential)
Minimum Experience
10 years of Business Analyst experience (Essential)
5 years of Insurance Industry experience (Essential)
7 years of UML experience (Essential)
7 years of prototyping experience (Essential)
Knowledge
Systems (Advanced).
Development (Intermediate).
Technology life cycle (Advanced).
Business (Advanced).
