Dimension Data Desktop Support - Cape Town Jobs in South Africa

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will help our customers with any issues they have related to their desktop computers. You'll provide technical support and troubleshooting on various computer hardware and software applications.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where he/she is constantly challenged by new projects and deadlines. Experience with Microsoft products such as Windows or Office is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Performs a variety of technical services such as troubleshooting, maintenance, installation and configuration, implementation and optimization of computer hardware, software, and networks

Performs maintenance procedures, repairs, and upgrades on computers, software, networks, and networking equipment

Oversees the development of local and remote computer networks, including standard configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of the network.

Performs other related Develops and implements plans to protect, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot desktop and remote computer networks

Strong Desktop Support individual required to attend and be dedicated to C Level Execs

Strong people skills and stakeholder engagement

Attention to detail and professionalism a must

The requirement is for a support or administration individual for the Exco Team. The role is to ensure that the likes of boardrooms are set up and the general handling

and supporting the well-being of the Exco Teams Desktop Environment. While this role can be seen as a L1 type support role, communication skills are key as the individual will deal with all the C level execs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required

Professional computer skills and experience preferred

Advanced knowledge of the following: Windows XP SP2; Internet Explorer 7; Internet Information Server 5; Active Directory; Windows DNS; DNS resolution for workgroup computers

Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of basic networking and wireless technology preferred
