Tasks & Responsibilities

Working closely with the writing & audio-visual production team to identify research needs on an ongoing basis.

Interpreting research specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements

Conducting desktop research, and using books, journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, polls and interviews to gather data

Identifying market trends and briefing the team to inform development of new content.

Recording findings by taking written notes and using appropriate software

Establishing a quality database of sources and content that can be cited by the writing team

Writing proposals and delivering presentations when required

Identifying topics relevant to the target audience

Requirements

Fluency in English

A bachelor’s degree in research or similar

You are proficient with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude and data modeling skills

Strong problem-solving skills

You thrive in a fast-paced environment

You are a great team player.

You are a good trainer and

communicator, able to enhance the capacity of a team.

You are ambitious, commercially savvy and proactive

You have relevant work experience

You work in a planned and structured way

You can set targets and take the necessary steps to achieve them

You have sound understanding of research methodologies

Proven experience in a research field

Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal and telephonic communication skills

Ability to communicate well in Kiswahili will be an added advantage.

Experience with Google Suite, Slack and Monday will be an added advantage.
