Job purposeThe purpose of the Finance Officer position is to manage the day-to-day financial routines of Enterprise Partners.
S/he compiles, prepares financial reports, and ensures compliance with Enterprise Partners and government policies and procedures. S/he also monitors the accuracy and completeness of transaction.
Duties and responsibilities
Financial Management
Preparing vouchers for all check and petty cash payments
Review payment vouchers and supporting documents before coding
Entering the coded payment vouchers to the accounting system
Ensure the timely settlement of taxes, provident fund and other liabilities
Handling petty cash for daily and routine activities of the project
Checks the replenishment of the petty cash fund and arrange disbursements
Prepares check for all non-cash transactions
Prepare and facilitate cash transfer
Contacts payees (Partners, consultants, etc.) to collect their checks immediately
Collect all cash collection and deposit to the bank immediately
Assists the annual physical inventory
Stamp Paid on all documents
Collect each bank statement and transfer advices from bank
Scan all financial documents and made ready to send to DAI Home office
Ensure the maintenance of fixed asset register
Ensure the replenishment of the petty cash fund
Verifies and ensures that required documentation and authorization is presented before effecting payments
Checks and ascertains the accuracy and validity of invoices/documents submitted for payment;
records invoices and arranges payments;
Check the accuracy of data entered to the system with the source document
Keeps daily cash position so that the bank balances can be reported when required
File and check the completeness and signatory of all accounting documents
Prepare monthly Filed Expense Report both local and USD Petty cash FER
Auditing
Assist line manager on external and/or internal audit undertakings
Participate on grant monitoring/audit activity
Ensure that proper reports and documents are prepared for the auditors
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor Degree in Accounting and related field of study; with minimum of four years of related work experience.
Specialized knowledge
Literate in Microsoft office especially in Microsoft excel and word.
Knowledge on QuickBooks
Skills and abilities
Interpersonal communication skill
Ability to work and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work Independently
Self-initiative and Commitment
