Job DescriptionThe Research Assistant will be responsible for building relationships with Agro-Retailers with a view to recruiting them to participate in our retail panel.
Contact individuals to be interviewed at Animal health facilities and respective offices
Explain the panel objectives and procedures to retailers
Their daily work will consist of collecting data from retailers and disseminating (presenting) retail market reports to them on a monthly basis.
They will be responsible in preparing summary field activity reports on daily bases to their supervisors.
The work is based in the field as such the RA will be expected to travel within the region, they are based in.
Liaising with the regional governmental offices, regional governmental veterinary departments and private Agro dealer’s association to organize recruitment and follow up with Agro dealers throughout the study.

Qualifications
The RA must be proficient in the local language where they will be posted.
Experience with the Agro Retail trade will be an added advantage.
Experience in synthesizing large volumes of information gathered from different sources.
Candidates must be flexible to accommodate different scope of work at different working hours.
Candidate must be humble, hardworking and result oriented.
Any other duties as and when required by immediate supervisor that are reasonably within the capabilities of the incumbent and are aimed at achieving the company’s objectives and goals
RA will be expected to use mobile devices to collect data and upload data.
Identify and report problems in obtaining valid data.
Complete field work and data collection.
Carry out additional assignment as required
Requirement
BSC, MSC or VDM: Veterinary Medicine.
The RA will require to have at least a Degree in an Animal Health related field from a recognized institution.
Previous research experience preferable but not essential.
Any experience in the Agro inputs retail trade will be an added Advantage.
The candidate should be fluent in the local language of the area which they will be based.
Female candidates are highly encouraged.
