About the Department
Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions services helps companies identify that unique approach by assessing operational effectiveness, identifying opportunities to enhance strategic insight and operational efficiencies, and developing an incremental path to improvement by leveraging alternative resource models. Deloitte’s approach assists businesses in improving the management, oversight, and control of their accounting, tax, human resources, and payroll processes through a flexible mix of in-house and external resources.
Job Description
Main purpose of the job
The successful candidate will support the Senior Manager and or the Associate Director and Partner in delivery of services to/at client premises on delegated engagements/projects. They will also promote our leadership capabilities which are living our purpose, influence, performance drive, strategic direction and talent development.
What you will do
Track outputs against Service Level Agreement and report to Senior Manager, Associate Director or Partner on any unforeseen issues arising.
Seek to identify additional sales opportunities in client business.
Assist in the preparation of proposals/tenders and presentations on request.
Oversee planning and development of finance and accounting solutions to ensure alignment with client's needs.
Commit to professional competence by discussing with the engagement team and the client's management team, technical and operational approaches to the finance and accounting solutions;
Effectively apply local and international accounting rules and principles to solve complex finance and accounting issues.
Own the design of client’s fiscal and duty-related reports, identifies key issues/risks, and proposes appropriate mitigating solutions.
Advise clients on complex payroll-related rules and regulations by combining technical knowledge with a strong understanding of the client's business.
Complete the Firm, client and other third parties' acceptance procedures before onboarding a new client, and annually for existing clients; and
Monitor risk and create mitigation plan for ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Commerce, Mathematics or a related field from a recognized university;
A Master’s degree or post graduate degree is an added advantage;
At least three (3) years in a professional services Firm, client facing role is an added advantage;
Experience with an internationally recognised professional firm is an added advantage; and
Be a Ugandan citizen or eligible to work in Uganda.
